// summary
On-Site Technology publishes a free suite of interactive IT tools for U.S. small and mid-size businesses. The current set includes the Managed IT Services Cost Calculator, which estimates monthly pricing across Basic, Standard, and Premium tiers with optional cybersecurity, CMMC, backup, and VoIP add-ons; the CMMC Readiness Checker, which scores an organization's posture against the 14 NIST SP 800-171 control families required for CMMC Level 2 certification; the Email Header Analyzer, which parses raw email headers and reports SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication results, originating IP, and DMARC alignment; and the Security Camera Installation Cost Calculator, which produces a defensible upfront and recurring cost range by facility type, square footage, video clarity tier, recording strategy, and compliance overlay (HIPAA, CMMC, PCI, NJ Cannabis CRC). Two additional tools, a Cybersecurity Risk Assessment and an IT Budget Planning Worksheet, are in development.

FAQ

Common questions

Quick answers about how the tools work, what they measure, and what to do with the results.

How accurate is the Managed IT Cost Calculator?

The calculator returns a realistic monthly range based on per-user pricing across Basic, Standard, and Premium tiers, calibrated to current managed services market rates for U.S. small and mid-size businesses. It is an estimate, not a quote. Real-world pricing depends on your environment complexity, compliance scope, after-hours support needs, and the specific software and hardware in your stack. For a firm number, share your asset count and we'll send a scoped proposal from the managed IT services page.

What does the CMMC Readiness Checker measure?

It scores your current security posture against the 14 control families in NIST SP 800-171 Rev. 2, which is the basis for CMMC 2.0 Level 2 certification: access control, awareness and training, audit and accountability, configuration management, identification and authentication, incident response, maintenance, media protection, personnel security, physical protection, risk assessment, security assessment, system and communications protection, and system and information integrity.

The output is a readiness percentage, a domain-by-domain gap list, and a prioritized fix order. It is a self-assessment, not an audit. For formal CMMC support, see CMMC Compliance Readiness.

Does the Email Header Analyzer keep my email private?

Yes. The analyzer runs entirely in your browser. The header text you paste is parsed locally on your device and is not transmitted to On-Site Technology or any third-party service. Nothing is logged, stored, or sent over the network. Once you close the tab, the data is gone.

Who are these tools designed for?

Owners, IT managers, controllers, and compliance leads at U.S. small and mid-size businesses, especially in regulated sectors like defense supply chain, healthcare, financial services, and professional services. They're useful regardless of company size, but the benchmarks and pricing models are tuned for typical small and mid-size environments.

How long does each tool take to use?

The Cost Calculator returns an estimate in under a minute. The Email Header Analyzer is instant once you paste a header. The CMMC Readiness Checker is the longest, around 15 to 25 minutes if you answer thoughtfully across all 14 domains. You can pause and come back; progress lives in your browser session.

Can I share the results with my team or a vendor?

Yes. The Cost Calculator and Email Header Analyzer let you copy or screenshot the output. The CMMC Readiness Checker generates a results summary you can email, save as PDF, or send to a managed service provider, vCISO, or CMMC consultant working on your assessment.

What happens after I get my results?

Nothing automatic. The tools are self-serve. The CMMC Readiness Checker will offer to email you a copy of your results at the end, which is optional and only happens if you choose to enter an address. There is no follow-up sales call unless you explicitly request one. You're free to use the output however you want, including taking it to a different provider.

Will more tools be added?

Yes. The Cybersecurity Risk Assessment and IT Budget Planning Worksheet are next, both in active development. Beyond those, the roadmap includes a Microsoft 365 license optimizer, a phishing-domain checker, and a downtime cost calculator. If there's a tool you wish existed, the Suggest a tool card above goes straight to our inbox.
