Position:	Full Time IT Consultant
Title:	IT Consultant
Description & Responsibilities:	As a field technician, you will be responsible for visiting our customer's primarily in the Northeast NJ area. The successful candidate we are seeking is expected to be an expert problem solver. Must have a general knowledge of PC Hardware, including how to troubleshoot common hardware issues. Additionally, have extensive experience with Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2000(Pro & Server)/XP/2003 Server and Office 2000/XP/2003. You must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook 2000/XP/2003, know how to install, troubleshoot and configure to connect to POP and Microsoft Exchange Mail Servers. You will be expected to know how to troubleshoot network connectivity problems between these operating systems and applications as well as network routers and switches. In order to do so, you will be required to have a general knowledge of common networking protocols, security, know how to troubleshoot & tune them for performance. Furthermore, you will be required to setup, configure, & troubleshoot VPN accounts/connections for our customers. Must have experience with Windows 2000/2003 Active Directory & Exchange 2000/2003 Servers. As well as a good understanding of how to implement proper security on these servers via file permissions. Also must have a good understanding of how to Add/Modify/Remove user accounts & Exchange mailboxes. Know how to configure & troubleshoot DNS, IIS, DHCP, RAID arrays, & Terminal services. Have experience configuring & troubleshooting A Records, MX Records, DNS and domain registrations. Other Prerequisites: 1. Troubleshoot & Install Local and Network printers. 2. Build PC's, install, & configure the required operating system. 3. Build custom Servers, install & configure the NOS. 4. Configure, check, and setup tape & external backup devices. 5. Available to work after hours, weekends, or whenever necessary. 6. Excellent multi-tasking skills, Ability to prioritize concurrent tasks with minimal guidance. 7. Extensive experience with virus & adware/spyware removal. 8. Have at least 4 years experience in the Enterprise IT industry.
Skills:	Excellent Verbal Communication Skills in person and on phone Bilingual is a plus (English & Spanish) College graduate preferred (Business/IT Related Degree) MCSE or Similar MCP Certification Required High level of enthusiasm and confidence Ability to perform & speak with complete professionalism.
